CEM donates MOP100,000 to support Walk for a Million

The “Walk for a Million” will be held on December 9 2012. As always, in addition to organizing staff to join the event, CEM will donate MOP 100,000 to the Macau Daily News Readers’ Charity Fund to help underprivileged this year.

At 5:00pm on November 13, CEM Chief Executive Officer Franklin Willemyns, Executive Director Bernie Leong, Advisor to CEM Executive Committee Iun Iok Meng and Communications and Public Affairs Office Senior Manager Cecilia Nip paid a visit to the office of the Fund. They were warmly received by Macau Daily News Readers’ Charity Fund Vice Presidents Sam Chin Peng, Hoi Kin Cheong, Vice-Secretary Lao Io Kuong, Directors Sun Sao Ha and Chui Hou Iang.

Franklin Willemyns said that CEM will continue to organize a team to participate in the “Walk for a Million” this year, and so far, the enrollment has reached about 300 staff members. The annual event of “Walk for a Million” has become the largest and most iconic public welfare activity in Macao. As a local utility company, CEM has the responsibility to participate in and support this meaningful charitable activity.

Sam Chin Peng expressed his gratitude to CEM for its support in manpower and donation. Ho also said that, by organizing staff to participate in the “Walk for a Million”, the company can offer assistance to the needy while also strengthen communication, boost up team spirit and raise the staff morale.
